BEAUTIFULLY RECONDITIONED ECHO HILLS GOLF COURSE IN HEMET, CA
This beautiful 9-hole golf course, closed in 2010, because the former owner just could not keep up with the high water bills levied by the city. And so, it has been left to just wither away over those past couple of years. Echo Hills Golf Course was very popular among the Hemet locals, and very sorely missed.
GREAT NEWS!!!! It was purchased last year by Valleywide Recreation, and they have enlisted volunteers from all over town, and has been graded, weeded and newly seeded, thanks to all these volunteers.
And, from what I understand, the permits have been filed to renovate and perhaps enlarge the clubhouse. This project will most definitely be an improvement for Hemet, and will no doubt be a welcome place to play.
Echo Hills Golf Course is scheduled to open sometime in March, and I know several people who are anxiously awaiting the opening.
