More Low Income Housing For Our City

It pains me to say this, but it appears our city council is considering a proposal to add additional low income housing (apartments) in our city of Corona.  Not only do we have a notable vacancy rate currently, bordering cities have even more vacant structures.

Many people don't understand that our city isn't well equipped to handle the special needs of many low income families.

I encourage residents to seek out more information regarding this proposal for low income apartments in Corona and get involved in the discussion.

From the information I have read, many low income residents from the LA area are being encouraged to move to the outlying areas for cheaper housing and utility costs so that their burden on taxpayers is shifted to the taxpayers in other areas

Sounds like the little Dutch boy plugging the holes in the dike with his fingers. Eventually, he runs out of fingers and the flood occurs anyway. The real need is to bring jobs back to the U.S.

Cameron - while we are both in Southern California, our market is a lot more built-out than Corona and there is definitely a shortage of rental properties(especially large scale) and rents are rising quite quickly.   An informed population should be aware of the changes that may effect them so to that end you are doing a service letting them know.

Hi W... thx for stopping by.

Norman... you are too smart for your own good (Nancy Pelosi told me so herself... now you've forced her to have to take away your internet access).

Michael - thx for stopping by.  I think the problem isn't the low income, it's the dependent mentality of those with low income that's the problem.
