Rachel Harris One Woman Over the Line
  This Friday, February 1st
Rachel Harris

Journey with us as we present the story of Rachel Harris, a runaway slave's search for freedom and dignity.

This project kicks off Black History Month at the Chester County Historical Society.  This interpretation of the story of Rachel Harris brings history to life in a regionally significant story all people can relate to. Exposure to the art of dance intertwined with projected visual media will enrich and engage the imagination of audiences as they are drawn into the events of that time. The content of the production will encourage the development of conscience and character as we applaud those people of courage who in standing up for one's beliefs, stepped out on behalf of another.

This performance will be adapted and abridged for an educational lecture about Rachel Harris.  There will also be refreshments and a display of photographs focusing on the Underground Railroad in Chester County.

Admission is $10 for CCHS Members and $12 General Admission.
