Fort Bend County Literacy Council Presents 'Reading Between the Wines" Fund Raising Event
Literacy Council of The Fort bend County Texas is holding a major fundraising event titled “Reading between the Wines’ on Friday February 8, 2013 at the Safari Texas Ranch. The Ranch is locate at 11627 FM 1464 Richmond Texas. The Safari Texas Ranch in Richmond is maybe 10 miles away from the intersection of Highway 99 and Fry Road. and from there the drive might take 12-18 minutes. The dress code is listed as snappy casual. The fun starts at 5 :30 PM and runs to 10:30 PM.
The evening will feature many different food selections, wine selections, live music and several best selling authors will be in attendance. Bob Allen recently retired Sports Director of ABC News 13 in Houston is the Master of Ceremonies. The featured authors include Leila Meacham, Taylor Stevens, Crystal Allen, John DeMeers and Stephanie jaye Evans. The individual Ticket price is $100 per person and there are numerous underwriting and sponsorship opportunities available. The Safari Texas Ranch is a 44 acre private estate which offers a full range of services for special events, weddings, company functions and many more types of events.
The Literacy Council of Fort bend County is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose stated goal is to end inter-generational cycles of illiteracy in this Texas county.
This is one of those what I consider higher level society events and the cost per ticket is high. Ending illiteracy is a very important goal. We will not be attending this event but folks who want to
attend are certainly welcome.
