Just another cold day in New York

With just another cold day in Mahopac, New York, I sit here in the Fort Lauderdale area enjoying not only the season but the prospects of a growing business.  As with anything you do, seed and harvest cultivates a healthy cycle.  Florida is picking up quite nicely in the cycle as it starts its journey upward.  The biggest complaint by my peers at this time is that they don't have enough good homes to sell.  We have multiple bids on properties and foreclosures are getting bought up.  Buyers with cash are stealing deals from everyone else.  The banks remain tight on the reigns and are not producing the funds in a timely way.  We are excited in the south and this should give a ray of sunshine in the month of February to my fellow Realtors in NY, it will be coming up there soon.  I did hear in one of my most recent classes that Bank of America will no longer be offering out REO's, they are going straight to auction.  Please if you have heard or know differently, I welcome the corrections.  Let's keep the faith up there :)  Valerie Murphy, Broker GRI, Shirley Marie Realty, Inc.

Hi Valerie, I have not heard about Bank of America offering REO, but I read about banks being required to offer assistance/other solutions to home owner through HARP or other programs before foreclosing on a home.
