Arizona Renaissance Festival 2013-There's Still Time!

If you ever wanted to attend the Arizona Renaissance Festival then 2013 is definitely the year to do it. Celebrating 25 Years of Cheers the Arizona Renaissance Festival is open every Saturday and Sunday, Now, through March 31, 2013.

The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, attraction with a 12-stage theater, 30-acre circus, arts and crafts fair, and jousting tournament -- all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure located just outside of Phoenix.

The Arizona Renaissance Festival is held in the east valley near Apache Junction, Arizona.

New Street Shows and Entertainment

This year, check out the new stage and new street shows with music, comedy and jousting.

One of the most popular attractions at the AZ Ren Fest is the live jousting tournaments held three times daily, complete with knights on charging horses, clanging weapons and a great deal of braggadocio.

The 16th century Festival is home to many popular traditions including chomping down on a giant roasted turkey leg, and also features demonstrations of time honored crafts such as weaving, glass blowing, blacksmithing and pottery throwing.

Advance Tickets Discounts

Advance tickets will save time when purchased on-line at RenFestInfo.com, or save on admission prices with discount tickets purchased at Fry’s Food and Drugstores statewide.

Discount ticket prices for adult are $20.00, children ages 5-12 are $10.00 each. Children under 5 are always FREE. Tickets purchased at the Festival Gate are two dollars more.

Senior discount tickets are $19.00 for those 60 and older, available only on Festival days at the front gate ticket booth. Parking is always free courtesy of Fry’s.

A most special event within this giant event is The Pleasure Feast. This is a two hour six course medieval feast with live music and comedy entertainment, all you can eat and drink, plus festival gifts and souvenirs. With limited seating twice daily, advance feast reservations are recommended.

The most unique experience at the Arizona Renaissance Festival is the interaction with actors on the street who make everyone a part of the VILLAGE AT PLAY.

Nancy: I always enjoy the annual Renaissance Fair held locally here in Holly, Michigan.  I can only imagine the Arizona sun on those poor jousters in a full suit of armor, though!  Definitely more fun to be in the audience- Thanks for sharing!  :)

Hi Andrew, the ARF usually starts while its still cool, (our version of winter) but since it runs for at least 8 weekends when we start heating up it's time to change into that "summer weight" armor :)

Nancy, the "kids" are coming in from Chicago this weekend.  Do you think it's worth the drive?  I've heard mixed reviews about this and would really appreciate your honest thoughts.
