Tonight, I’m not going to harp on the frustrations of trying to buy or sell a horse property when the other agent knows nothing about horses or horse properties.    I’ll just say that it takes an enormous amount of patience and a lot of extra time for all parties involved.    If you are looking to buy or sell a horse property, you NEED a real estate agent that specializes in horse properties.   If you are buying or selling in the Salem, Oregon area, I highly recommend Catherine Ulrey. 

I first met Catherine Ulrey about two years ago on Active Rain.   As a real estate agent that specializes in horse property, Catherine Ulrey is a horse property expert that I have always admired.  (I’ve admired her so much that her website and blog are the only ones that I’ve ever been tempted to plagiarize.)

Catherine is a horse person.  She enjoys dressage.  The last I checked, her family had 2 dogs, 2 cat, 4 horses and chickens.   

I admire Catherine Ulrey because she knows horses, horse properties and horse people.  She also knows how to market horse properties.   Her website is great.  It is focused on horse properties and horse owners.

My favorite article on her website discusses septic tanks and horses. 

She states, “Hooves and Salem Horse Property Septic Tanks Don't Mix!”  Her advice is true for owners of septic tanks everywhere.   (Maybe I love this article because I’ve met too many real estate agents that didn’t even know what a septic tank was.)

In addition to her Active Rain blog, Catherine Ulrey is also connected with horse owners and horse lovers on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pintrest, LinkedIn, and with her memberships in the Oregon Dressage Society, USDF, ISR NA Oldenburg and many other horse related activities.
