In the Northeast and midatlantic regions and most particularly the Baltimore, Washingtoin, DC metro areas, the Townhome/condo communities phenomenon has been a viable aspect of the housing market makeup of suburbia for many years. As a matter of fact, the Baltimore metro area was the first to create the large Townhome Community development concept in thesuburbs.
Long time experience with Townhome/condo communities in the suburbs, for these regions, gave rise to new state and local laws, establishing greater oversight of this form of community and inherently resulting in increased consumer protection and awareness when purchasing one.
With my recent move to the Atlanta metro area and my study of the current laws governing Townhome/condo communitites in the Atlana region accompanied with the recognition of the expansion of same with respect to the current state of the sell-buy process of Townhome/condos has brought to light a number of relevant issues for Developers, Realtors, and consumers.
In the posts that will follow in this blog, we intend to reveal some of these with a slight bent on the Smyrna~Vinings, GA. expansion.
Any thoughts and questions are welcome, indeed!
