You might be scratching your head and wondering whether it is time to move or time to stay. Each homeowner has to answer that question for their own needs, but let me give you a few compelling reasons why selling your house right now might be a GREAT idea.

1. Price are on the Rise
In most areas around the Minnesota metro prices for homes are on the rise. For the first time in many years homeowners are gaining equity on the real estate investments that they own. Some are not 'out of the woods' yet, but there is high potential that your home is worth more than it was a year ago.
2. Inventory is down
With bank inventories dwindling and short sales on a slight downturn from even a year ago... We are finding ourselves in a position of multiple offers with most buyers. The benefits of so little on the market is the increase in demand which raises prices. In the meantime... if you've been thinking of moving? That gives your a pretty sure market to find a buyer.
3. Buyers are Looking
That's right. It's 'spring' and the buyers are out. Okay, it doesn't 'feel' like spring... but for buyers moving in the spring now is the time to buy! For the first time in many years there is a definite season of real estate in front of us. If you are thinking of moving now might be a great season.
4. Parade of Homes
The Parade of Homes in Minnesota is right around the corner. And, though the market is on the rise, buying new is still really affordable. Why compete with new construction? If you are thinking of buying - listing now could be very advantageous.
5. If you are waiting for a really good price?
If you are waiting for a really good price on your home before you move? Well, it might do well to remember that the more your home is worth... the higher the prices on what you are looking for are going to be. It appears that home prices are on the rise... and that isn't just for the one that you are selling.
If you are interested in finding out exactly where you sit in the Minnesota market and whether it's time for you to make a move give me a holler! I'd be happy to help you figure it out.
