Life in real estate, what can you say? It's a Wonderful Life! We've worked On The Waterfront, we've looked out our Rear Window to find out the West Side Story! We've been up until Midnight Cowboying a deal. We've faced off with other agents over a High Noon deadline. Our clients are getting The Best Years of Our Lives, we're experienced enough to avoid Double Indemnity and Apocalypse Now, although we've had a few deals Gone With The Wind over the years!
We've seen homes decorated like Casablanca, Chinatown, Nashville, Wuthering Heights and more. Every showing is just like Forrest Gump said, you don't know WHAT you'll get! A Place in the Sun? Toy Story? The Wild Bunch? We've seen enough homes where The Deer Hunter lived! And plenty more where the thermostat indicates Some Like It Hot! Really, should we feel like we're crossing The Bridge on the River Kwai just to show a home?
In these Modern Times we've dealt with Giant egos. Brokerages with Twelve Angry Men and Spartacus is their hero! Who do they think they are, The Godfather? We don't need Star Wars, we're working to avoid being Psycho or we'll be the One That Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest! Shut your Jaws with your Titanic opinions or you risk being on our Unforgiven list!
A hot property new to the market is like The Gold Rush, you don't want to be The Third Man! Our buyers are The Searchers and hoping for Easy Rider. They want to Do the Right Thing Bringing Up Baby, hoping the MLS write up is not Pulp Fiction and the listing agent's visuals aren't The Last Picture Show! All they want is a peaceful place for The Sound of Music, perhaps some Amadeus while the kids watch Snow White and The Seven Dwarves or Fantasia!
We'll work From Here to Eternity so our clients can be All Quiet on the Western Front! We Network to avoid a Rocky deal!
The stress of it all is giving me Vertigo, time for a glass of The French Connection and no Grapes of Wrath in this bottle! Ahhh, to be An American in Paris!
