North East Barrie,Ontario is a beautiful neighborhood of established homes that is conveniently located just outside Downtown Barrie and nestled along the North Shore of Lake Simcoe. It is a multi generational neighborhood, inhabited by young first time buyers, investment owners as well as empty nesters who have loved the area so much that they have remained here after their young ones have left home.

People who live here are attracted to the ease of convenience:this neighborhood offers easy access to education and medical facilities, as well as parks and a great gym at Georgian College. The bus service is well used, linking to the Go Bus Station and in turn connecting residents to other cities. This is also the Bus Station where the Northlander Bus stops on its way up North.

The residents of North East Barrie enjoy the use of Johnson Beach in the Summer time.Many people just walk down to the beach with their families and friends. It is also one of my favorite spots to watch the Fireworks on Canada Day.

The Parkview Community Centre hosts programmes for seniors living in the area. There are also numerous parks for the kids in North East Barrie,Ontario. Residents of all ages love walking, jogging and cycling on the 3km North Shore Waterfront trail.

What is the Neighborhood like?
It consists of a variety of homestyles from a 906 sq ft townhome right up to to a 9192 sq ft mansion! The waterfront properties have attracted those who love the tranquility of Lake Simcoe. Most of the homes are single family homes, but there are also numerous homes with legal apartments. Many families and investors take advantage of the close proximity to the college and rent out to students to earn some extra income. There is also evidence of renewal in the area, where some older homes have been demolished and brand new homes have been built on the lot.

There is always something going on at the Georgian College: sports events,visiting speakers and Productions at The Georgian Theatre, which is a Professional Performing Arts Facility which is based on campus of Georgian College and it is managed by the Department of Culture.
