Tonight I'm Going to Copy Roger Mucci. I love reading Roger's blog. Talk about someone with something to say...even when he says he doesn't have anything to say. I admire that, and he could probably sell swamp land in the Arizona desert with a large bridge thrown in, for a small fee, for the cash buyer. So tonight, I'm going to do a blog about nothing. Just things happening around me.
I do have a lot going on in my real estate business right now. It's just not anything news worthy. I'm working on four new listings, but I'm afraid one is going to cause me some trouble. The seller thinks Zillow is the real estate expert for our area. My CMA be damned. That's not what Zillow says. I just answer the phone when he calls, and I keep my mouth shut. The seller is from the other side of the state and has no idea of what is really happening in our rural area. I want a sign in that neighborhood. The buyers love that neighborhood and there's nothing for sale there. The sign calls are coming into my office fast and furious, so I'll take the listing. Another listing is in a great location also, and the buyers want to list below appraisal. I guess there's a trade off there.
Appraisers tell me the shadow inventory is going to hit the market soon. If the number of BPOs I'm doing on distressed property is any indication of this, then I have to say they are correct. I'm averaging two BPOs a day. I've been really busy, just handling listing appointments, new buyers and doing BPOs.
Tonight I joined our local Habitat for Humanity Chapter. I'll be serving on the board. I've already been volunteering for the group, so this was just a natural move for me.
I don't like writing a blog without a picture, so I included a picture similar to one that I included in an earlier blog. Everyone liked it, so I thought I would share one like it. This was taken from my front yard.
I'm glad the real estate market in my rural area is showing some big signs of improvement. The last two months have been the best for us in four years. I'm also hearing good things from other areas of the country. Keep those positive market reports coming.
