Some People Stop and Smell The Roses...I Stop and Take the Picture

By
Real Estate Agent with Cedaredge Land Company

Some People Stop and Smell The Roses...I Stop and Take the Picture. I had an early morning meeting in the next small mountain town over from Cedaredge, CO. I took the back roads to Hotchkiss for the meeting. You never know what you are going to see on the back roads. A few months ago, I had a mountain lion run across the road in front of me. That was really something to see.

Some People Stop and Smell The Roses...I Stop and Take the Picture

The weather was unsettled this morning. It made for some great photo opportunities. The scenes always seem to look better with the naked eye, but you get the idea. It looked like heaven was opening up and greeting the mountains and everyone lucky enough to see this point in time.

It turned out to be a beautiful day with a lot of sunshine, but the morning was just as beautiful in it's own way.

Make some time to take the back roads and make some time to stop and smell the roses, or take pictures...or both. Life it too short.

I've lived on Colorado's Western Slope for over 22 years. I love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about my home. As a real estate broker, I also love to share my expertise in this area as well. If you need any real estate information for Montrose County, or Delta County, Colorado...please give me a call.

Sweet. Sunshine.  Could you please let some head this way.  I have had 5 plus inches of rain since last Friday and I really need a day with blue skies and sunshine.  I've gotten depressed.

Hi, Scott...I love taking the back roads because you never know what you are going to see.

Hi, Jim...I feel lost if I don't have my camera with me.

Thank you, Sussie. I'm glad you like the pictures. My area offers so many photo opps.

Hi, Silvia...the new technology makes it so easy and cheap. If I don't like the picture i can delete it. It's also great that we can see the picture right after we take it.

Thank you, Jennifer. I was really rushed that morning, but I knew I could kick myself later, if I didn't take the picture.

Hi, Tammy...I've placed the order for more sunshine for you. I hope the shipping department doesn't lose it.

Hi, Roger...I'm glad you like the pictures I share. I love sharing them.

Debbie, that is an amazing photo, but what really caught my attention was that you saw a mountain lion...too bad you didn't get a photo of that.

Debbie  I enjoy stopping for the wildlife or scenery even when showing properties.  I just explain that nature is why I moved to paradise and ALWAYS have time to stop and enjoy.  We both know people take vacations they have saved up for all year to come enjoy where we breath everyday!  YOU ROCK!

Hi, Nick...the lion ran across the road before I even knew what was happening. Thanks goodness it was on a curve, so I was going slow.

Hi, Roy...I hope you have more of those beautiful sunny days.

Hi, Adrian...it was so neat. That's only the second mountain lion I've seen in the wild. When I lived in Telluride this woman had one as pet. It was declawed and defanged, but a magnificent sight to see. She would walk it around town on a leash.

Hi, Suzanne...thanks for your support and for stopping by.

Hi, Bob...thanks. It feels great to have that milestone behind me. I'm glad you liked the picture.

Oh, John G. that is so well said. We have alot to be thankful for. I never take my beautiful area for granted.

Hi Debbie,

That's a neat looking picture.  I share your frustration that it seems like the mountain photos seem to look best with the naked eye.   They are closer up.

I want to stop and smell the rose AND photograph them.

I hope you had a nice Valentines Day.

Hi, Sondra...you take awesome pictures. I'm glad you liked this one. I was really moving down the back roads, because I was running a bit late, but I did have to stop to get the picture. I'll have more pictures to blog about tomorrow.
