Join together with over one billion people  across all  borders in the  world , who are demanding an end to violence against women.

You too can join the billion people in this global celebration.  Celebrations are taking place in local venues everywhere. Speak out on freedom for woman on our planet to be safe and free from abuse.  On  14th of February over “One Billion Rising” sheds light on the struggle to keep women safe. It brings a new dimension to our Valentine’s Day customs. Remember your mother, sister, daughter, aunt, neighbor and friend.

This year the event will take place at 280 Broadway Newburgh NY. Join in any time from 10:30 to 12:30 pm on February 14th and discuss the reality of violence against woman and even young girls and the help that can change lives.  The collective strength is there and solidarity in numbers will be heard.

Ginny - the things you hear on the news. I don't want to turn it on anymore!! Too depressing

Kathy.. the stats are horrible! I have daughters and it has always been a concern.  My older daughter worked at a hotline one year for abused women. Now that is a job i could never do!
