Real Estate Photography by Hot Shots in DenverToday an agent was previewing the property that I was shooting, and called the "Brand New" garage "a Carriage House."This home was right next to Denver University, was built around 1920, and probably hasn't even seen a Horse let alone a carriage. (Horse drawn or horseless as we've all come to know as the precursor to todays automobile)

This really made me start thinking... "WOW" what a great marketing term to use... as it really makes the buyer think that their getting something better than a garage... especially in the Downtown Denver Area where all of these homes are being completely renovated.

What is your opinion in using the term "Carriage House" vs. "Garage? And are there any rules associated with terminology like this? I'm just the guy that takes the pictures for Denver real estate, and will call it anything you want... I'm just happy to make it look good, but I often wonder what agents think about all of the different ways to describe a property and it's ammenities.

What are your thoughts?

Strauch, When I think about carriage house I think of something small, detached and old. If the show fits why not use it.
