It’s Presidents’ Day once again, and in the White Mountains that means skiing. It also usually means the end of snow making and the beginning of profit taking in the ski resort industry. School vacation weeks bring much needed revenue and there is enough snow to cover the slopes for the rest of the winter season.
All the photos were taken yesterday at Loon Mt, I don’t just sell real estate here I ski there too.
The View from the Summit Cafe over Looking Loon Pond and the Tote road life over to the South Mountain side
Loon Mountain has a deep snow cover and is ready to show off some spectacular skiing for the remaining 2+ month of the season.
What does that have to do with real estate you may ask? As the days get longer and the snow gets softer the winter inventory melts away. I have reason to believe what will replace it in the summer will be higher prices and higher interest rates.
Like all the Car dealerships talking about “Presidents’ Day Sales”It is also a very good time to look at the current real estate inventory…seller expectation tend to rise with warmer weather – it is time to buy or miss the last best deals on listings that sat through the winter months.
