Why is my GPS so messed up near the Sprain Parkway?

Mmmmm.  Why does Lenn carry a stack of county map books in her vehicle????

My in-car NAV system sometimes has me on a parallel road for about 5 seconds and then it changes.....it's why WALLACE prints the MLS directions and has them in her car!

Good morning Debbie. I don't get it either. Ther are always those times with GPS systems that leave me in a cold sweat.

Debbie: It drives my husband buggy because I can go someplace one time and remember all the streets and my way around...my built-in GPS is very good.  His, not so much.  HA.

Sometimes the GPS systems have amind of their own, taking us in directions which make no sense. It is still better than no system at all.

I have issues all the time with New Construction the roads are not yet mapped.. OY! it can be a challenge. 

Yorktown has a few roads like that but my GPS seems to get it it right.

Debbie there is a lake here in Modus, CT that one of the roads goes from one side of the lake to the other.  The first time I used my GPS to get to a house on the road it brought me in from the opposite side of the lake, and was telling me to continue through the lake to get to the other side.  Good thing I was paying attention ....... LOL

Something's blocking the signal probably! I'm with Lenn, though. Although I love technology there are a few things I prefer in the "old" format! A map is one of those things! My husband bought me a GPS about 3 1/2 years ago. I tried it once or twice. Since then, it's been in his car! lol

Deb when I am near there I have the same problem - not sure why either.

Debbie -  I understand that some people run into that problem in Seattle, due to the Interstate, and all the roads it blocked.  Fortunately, I was here before the freeway, so know which streets go through and which don't.   When the Highway was there since the 20's it doesn't make sense that the GPS wouldn't know about it.
