Day 2 Recap from Keller Williams Family Reunion

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Team Realty

Day 2 started off by visiting the convention center to check out some of the vendors products.  I put my ticket in to win the DeLorean.  Here's a great picture of Lisa Archer chillin in it.

The first session I attended was on video.  The class was a very good how to for beginners.  I wanted to add these few tips.

1.  Switch the Camera to Airplane Mode - This will prevent any alerts, texts or calls interpecting your perfect video.

2.  Cup the phone when you hold it -  Doing this will allow you to eliminate shakeness by giving you a firm grip.

3.  Lock the exposure/focus - On an iPhone holding down the screen allows you to focus on a specific item and if you hold it down for a few more seconds it will lock the focus.  This is helpful if you are going to have movement in your video or if the light could cause focusing problems as it turns off the auto focus.

The second class I went to was about business planning.  My takeaways were the following.  There were others but to keep it simple these were the two that hit home the most.

1.  Start early on your plan, don't wait till Janurary

2.  Make 20 contacts a day

After that we listened to Mark Willis and Mary Tenant deliver the State of the Company & State of the Culture address.  Exciting news came out of this as Keller Williams Realty is now the Largest Real Estate Company in the United States.

I headed over to a meet a greet for our region and then made it to the Red Bash.  I ended up at Club KW at the Omni hanging out with Steve Peele from DotLoop, he's a great guy and I finally had a chance to hang with him.
