Want to sell a home?
Pay per click advertising is not a good option in many cases. Back in 2003, I loved pay per click advertising. It drove a lot of traffic to my web site. Unfortunately, it became more expensive each year, and organic listings (the free section of search engines like Google) have always generated me a lot more traffic than paid advertising.
If you're going to use pay per click, then think about what benefit the prospect will get when they click to your site like, "2012 Metrowest Mass real estate sales report" or "central mass foreclosure report." In Central Massachussetts, realtors investing $10 a day using Google pay per click ($300 per month) is likely to produce about 4-5 clicks. That's a lot of money that can probably be better spent elsewhere.
Blogging is the better way to go, in my opinion, because it's one of the best ways to get indexed by search engines, driving traffic as a result. I would also recommend explaining to each listing client why organic clicks are better than pay per click, and then demonstrate how social media (including YouTube) is likely to produce much better results.
