That's pretty good appreciation

If you look at this report, it's meant to show a downturn in some areas; however, when you think about it it's not so bad:

I think the author realized this and changed "5 year gain" to "5 year change" on the right column to lessen thepower of the numbers.

If he had done a straight report on 5 year gains it would look impressve all around.

Sure, this could mean that prices might continue to fall like the numbers from last year on the right column, but if you do a five study five years from now, I suspect the numbers will look pretty good.

The only problem I see is that if you bought two years ago and have to sell RIGHT NOW, then that would not be a good thing.

Mike, again, another great post.  Kind of puts things in perspective.  Even at worste there was still a 2% appreciation over 5 years.  Thanks again, you rock!

We are constantly having to put the facts into perspective for the public!  It's amazing how the numbers can be written to be earth-shattering, Debbie-downer numbers for the sensationalism effect!
