San Francisco Victorian with Beautifully Restored Stained Glass

I have allways loved the colorful stained glass used in San Francisco Victorian homes. I had the opportunity to take some photos on a typical beautiful sunny day in San Francisco at a mansion on Buena Vista Park.

The colors are so vibrant and bold, hope you enjoy.

Stained glass interior door and hall window

I love the bold color in the glass on the door and at the end of the hall a combination of lighter colors and frosted glass does a wonderful job framing a tree outside the window.

Interior Stained Glass Wall

You would never know that behind this window is a not so desirable view, instead they use the light coming through to create living art on a giant window done in bold colors that totally obscure the view but bring in the light.

Frame a tree

I love the way this window frames the tree outside, the combination of frosted glass, clear and stained is wonderful.

Stained glass meets fabulous ceiling

This shot is a little tricky, those are stained glass panels at the top of a giant window where it meets the cieling.

I couldn't resist including the beautiful period detail of the cieling in this room with works wonderfully with the stained glass.

Those stained glass windows add an exquisite accent to what already appears to be a fine home!
