We've been introduced to buyers with interest in one of our listings. It would really help if they could sell a property in Atlanta...a specific neighborhood in Atlanta. So, I called Richard Weisser of Coweta Fayette Real Estate in Newnan, Georgia. Leslie and I have been big fans of his poetry and photography on ActiveRain plus he is one of the most visible agents in Georgia.
His voice really belongs to his photo. We had a pleasant chat about lots of things. He and his wife are big Smoky Mountain enthusiasts and are planning a visit here soon. Leslie and I will have lunch with them, one of those mini AR meetups. We're really looking forward to it.
One of the things we talked about was our buyers' neighborhood in Atlanta. Even though Richard no longer concentrates his business in Atlanta, he knew just who to direct me to...Thom Abbott of Atlanta. Ahhh, the power and reach of ActiveRain members.
First of all, how cool is it to have a first name with the spelling "Thom"? We chatted on the phone and it was very evident that Thom really knew the neighborhoods of Atlanta. We'll be referring this listing to Thom and hopefully the buyers will recognize the value in hiring an agent so familiar with the real estate markets in his territory.
I was just getting ready to send the Referral Agreement to Thom but before I did, I thought I'd do a little browsing on AR...how's this for a coinkydink?
