How the Transfer Disclosure Statement Can Bite Sellers on the Butt

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

transfer disclosure statementA lawyer called me yesterday morning from New York to ask why when he searches for certain terms in Google, everywhere he goes, there I am. I guess it's because I write about those things he searches for.

You never know what I might write about because my topics are selected based on what happens to me in Sacramento. My blogs are about being a Sacramento real estate agent. I like to keep things simple and write about what I know.

Like today, I wrote about the transfer disclosure statement and the remote control thorn that pops up out out of the cracks in the sidewalk after escrow closes, but it's also about communication between agents and clients. It's about how easy it is for some people to get confused. I think it has an amusing element to the twist, but you be the judge of that.

Good grief!  This agent has many soul mates throughout the country, I'm sure.   I have to laugh at her takeaway from the lawyer speaking at the local associaton about MLS commissions.  My guess is that if she had gotten her face out of her iPhone or iPad long enough to actually listen to what the man was saying, she would have an actual understanding of it.

Hi Chris Ann: I am not sure what the agent heard at the Sacramento Association of REALTORs meeting, but I can promise it wasn't if you desire a higher commission percentage than the amount shown in MLS that you can simply grant yourself a raise in escrow.
