WATERTOWN CT-REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT for JANUARY 2013

Watertown CT-Real Estate Market Report for January 2013 Watertown, to the northwest of Waterbury CT, is a quiet town that is comprised of two distinct areas: the Oakville area, which is directly outside of Waterbury and is more densely populated, and Watertown proper, which comprises the majority of the town. The real estate market in both areas continues to look promising, with an increase in the volume of sales compared to last month and last year, and the number of homes under deposit is still comfortably over 20% of the homes currently on the market. I expect that average sale prices will continue to trend upward over the next several months, with minor fluctuations like this month (where sale prices were slightly lower than both last month and last year), with buyers buying up both low-end and high end priced homes in relatively equal numbers.
