Biggest turnoff to buyers

What are your buyers saying when they leave a showing?  For me it's, "I hate it when the home owner is present when we look"

Another big turnoff is clutter.  Sellers alert!  Get rid of all unnecessary"stuff" before you allow anyone to see your house.  Sorry, but the way you show a house is NOT the way you live in it.

I love it when I have Mr. & Mrs. Tidy for sellers and when buyers ask me, "Does anyone live here?"

If your agent is not present to let buyers in, at least store your valuables in a safe place and tell the showing agent to call you when they are finished with the show.

I do lots of estate sales and my hardest thing is to convince the sellers that all the personal stuff must go.  Mom or Dad is gone it is hard to get rid of their things.   But you must go on and get the stuff out of the home in order to sell it.  Get rid of the stuff..

Thanks Richard for the great comment.  Yes, they will have to remove the stuff, why not do it now and get more money for the place. Folks, listen to us, we've been there, done that.

Sellers place themselves at a disadvantage when they birddog the buyers...but some can't understand.
