Website visitors - our prospects - are really in it for themselves. The old "What's in it for me?" question is so relevant when it comes to website visitors and one has to be ready!
When you visit most business websites, agent sites included, what you really see is stuff about the agent. I'll be blunt: visitors don't really care about our history, our team, our credentials.
They just want to know how you can help them. And they don't want to be TOLD what you can do, they want to experience it. They want you to demonstrate it.
Does your website have something for them? Something that will really help them in their upcoming real estate transaction? Something that they really want? If not, you ought to consider adding something. It's as simple as creating a free report, and then putting an opt-in box somewhere VERY prominent on your site (definitely above the fold) and voila....
They've gotten valuable info (and hopefull, follow up content from you)
They are impressed becasue you are helping them no strings attached when all the other agents are "pitching" to them.
You've established yourself as a trusted, likable expert.
AND....you've got their contact info when you otherwise wouldn't have, and so now, you can continue the conversation long after they have left your site!
That's a win-win-win-win!!!!
