When I say downtown I am referring to an area that allows access to the Bentonville Mountain Biking Trails and Paved Sidewalk System without getting on a main arterial thoroughfare. This area is more accurately described as the area East of Walton, South and West of I-540, and North of HWY 102. The map area can be seen at the left.
My wife and I live in the Downtown area and we frequently enjoy all that the area has to offers. We never go on a walk or mountain bike ride or to eat at the Square, etc, etc, without saying to each other how thankful we are to live in Bentonville.
I would venture to say that from any and all of these homes a person could quickly access a sidewalk from their home and be to the musem or all the festivites that take place at or near the Downtown Bentonville Square in just a few minutes. The Square hosts First Friday Events, the Farmers Market on Saturdays during warm weather, a variety of FANTASTIC Restaurants, and Unique Little Shops. Other attractions near the Square include: Lawrence Plaza which is an ice skating rink in the Winter and a splash park in the Summer; Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art which is a World Class art museum, and The 21C Museum Hotel which is a hotel combined with a modern art museum.
