Just passing through the town of Haliimaile Maui 

The Haliimaile General Store Restaurant is the highlight of Haliimaile town, which was formerly a busy pineapple center. There's less than 1,000 people living in this small Maui town and not a whole lot going on.  The flagship restaurant of Bev Gannon's is worth the trip though, no matter where you live on the island.  

 Sugar cane fields still blanket the lower slopes of the mountain in this region.  Located just below Makawao town, Haliimaile Road spans between Baldwin Avenue and Haleakala Highway.  It's great way to get across without going through Makawao.
