Back in the Saddle or err... the Boat! Why I Do What I Do

Yesterday I went to Norris Lake to work.  A novelty for sure.  SInce my hospitalization I have been more or less in shutown mode as far as work is concerned.  I had no choice.  Yesterday I had to go, like it or not. Guess what?  I LIKED IT!  It felt really good to be back doing "my" work.  No, I didn't end up selling anything, but, I remembered why I do what I do; why I work the lake with it's beautiful scenery and the friendly people that I've come to know -- because I love it.  Oh yes, it usually pays the bills too, but, I could stay home and just sell houses if that is all it was about.  Yesterday gave me courage and confidence and a strong reminer of why I do what I do.  In many ways, this has been a turning point, a significant day in my real estate career!

Gayle, I am glad you were able to go out and have such a great moment in your career.  This type of days are addictive and that is why we all come back to them.   Yesterday I was able to show a friend's house who is a Realtor.  She is moving the end of the month and my clients like her house and want to write a contract after speaking to the bank on Monday.  My clients are happy and so if my friend.  Next I showed a home I had listed that is expired.  My buyer client liked it and we are going back for a second look today.  Days like that make it all so worthwhile.

Gayle, Don't let anything shut you in, you'll feel so much better when you're out and about.  And working...because it's clear you love what you do and that alone makes you feel better, when you're doing something you LOVE.  Blessings....

Welcome home Gayle! Good to have you back healthy and happy. I work by a lake also. I understand your love of the water. It is so healing. Looking out over the lake can be so calming, soothing and soul rejuvenating! Keep up the work. It's good for you. Deb
