Motivational Monday...No Limits!!!

Do you ever focus on the road blocks in your life?  Do you listen to those voices in your head that say "Wow, I can't get that done!  That's too much!  Expectations are too high here and I don't need to try and do everything!  I need to lower my goals, or lower my expectations for what I think I will be able to accomplish because THAT is crazy!"  I'm speaking to myself here.  I know I do this.  I say things like... "If I add another thing into my schedule, my life will be out of balance"  or" I do so much already that I couldn't possibly accomplish THAT!".

Well, I recently saw a news story on our local news channel that has stuck with me.  They did a feature story on an incredible woman who has not set limits on what she can and IS accomplishing and this lady has stuck with me!  She has 7 children, a feat in itself!  She has homeschooled all SEVEN of them.  She works nights.  Her husband works 2 jobs to make ends meet.  She is taking classes herself to improve her job situation.  They have a family band for free time and for their entertainment.  Does she sound like she has put limits on what she can accomplish?  I am inspired by this woman's story because she is living the life she wants.  She is not making excuses about what she cannot do, or how hard it would be to home school 7 kids and have a job and go to school herself!

What could you accomplish if you didn't set limits on yourself?  What could I?  What are the things you want in your life, or what direction do you wish your life was going?  Make small steps today to start moving in the direction you want to go!  Don't be stopped by the roadblocks.  Don't listen to the voices that say "You can't accomplish that!"  Tell yourself the message you want to hear... the message you NEED to hear!  Tell yourself "I can do this!"  The limits we put on ourselves can be the most paralyzing.  Today, think what you can accomplish if you stopped putting limits on yourself!

Karin - I'm helping a friend segue through an recent job change, and I keep telling her to stop putting obstacles in front of herself; we can really sabotage ourselves with our thoughts.

Thank you for this Monday morning kick in the pants! I needed it! However I have found myself saying these things to myself recently.

Self imposed limits are indeed paralyzing, great motivational post to seek out the small steps/changes instead of excuses. Have an awesome Monday!
