Life Is A Collection Of Moments

collection of moments

Life is a Collection of Moments, a phrase that was presented to me this last week in an off moment, a glance at a writing that I happened to be reading in an obscure place I had happened upon.  I began thinking of the depth of this phrase and how it has been throughout my own personal life.  When one looks back throughout the moments of one's life and all of the different collections that have accumulated to make a book that is the tapestry of one's life, it is amazing.  The good, the bad and the ugly, all moments that become part of the collection of your life.

I know we try and not think of the things that were what I would call ugly in our lives, however, they become an important part of us as they are part of the makeup of who we are as a person. The good and joyful things are easy to remember and are a huge part of who we are, but it takes all of the slices of the pie to make up the whole.

A collection of moments in our lives can be a brief as a nano second and as long as it takes on the other side. I love the thought of a collection of moments to make a part to make a whole. So I decided to make a video of some of my collections of moments that have made up a large part of my pie, memories from the corners of my mind as the song would say.

Hi Anna,

Thanks for the nice comment. Lots of memory moments that have stuck with me.  I think we have a tenancy to remember the best of times and put other memories aside. It is a good feeling to look back and when you put together a lot of memory moments it refreshes one's current memory and brings the story alive again.  I have never been afraid to put my life out there for some reason, I just do not do it all unless it is pertinent.  I just know that everything we experience makes us who we are today and if those memories or moments affect or effect any one person in some way it is a good day.  Thanks Again.

Hi Kathy, it really is about all of those moments in our lives, after all they have brought us to where we stand today.  Thank you for commenting.

Laura, thank you so much!  I know that to be true.  I have many stories within stories but one that comes to mind is when I was going to massage school and was having trouble with all of the tests.  I knew the material but was not testing well.  The women's counselor was also a hypnotherapist and we did a session on test taking.  I was very deep "under" and what came up, and always we know that we are many many layers of perceptions and beliefs, but what came up was the fact that I felt my mother was not proud of me.  Who knew that would come up but I needed to peel off that layer before anything else would take place. We worked on that aspect which was very hard for me as there was play acting within the session.......at the end I felt better for sure.  The next day I received a phone call from my mother and this is what she said to me..."Honey, I called because I have been meaning for a very long time to tell you just how proud of you I am".  I have never cried like I did then and I was healed by that.  Very moving.  I had never said anything to her or to anyone except the hypnotherapist about what I felt and then the phone call.  There just are no accidents are there.

The next session she taught me just exactly how to take those tests and predict what my score would be.  It worked every time and I was always within 2 points of being correct and passed with flying colors.  Amazing.

Thanks Laura, much love and light to you as well.

Hi Ray, I am glad you enjoyed it, I surely did in the making of it.  I used Animoto which is one I really like.  I have the Pro package which I think is $39 a year and allows me a lot.  The more advanced package is over $200 and so far I have not been willing to do that.  There is a free package but you do not get very much time.  Check it out and thanks again I hpe you have a beautful weekend.
