Wilmington NC is hopping this weekend! What will you choose to do?

It’s another fun-filled weekend in Wilmington NC with something for everyone.

Today, March 2, 2013 we’re off to the 1^st Annual Bowling for Backpacks to benefit The Good Shepherd Center.

Bowling not your thing? You've got plenty of other choices. Here are just a few;

Whale of a Weekend at Fort Fisher.

3rd Annual Cape Beer Fest

Read and Rap 99th Celebration Wear a crazy hat and enjoy this FREE event honoring Dr. Seuss.

Tomorrow, March 3, 2013 is the 18^th Annual Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown. A day filled with FREE events for New Hanover County residents? Count me in! With so many choices there’s not a chance you’ll run out of places to visit or things to do! Check out the exhibits at Cape Fear Museum, take a go-kart ride at Jungle Rapids, explore the gardens at Airlie or just enjoy a good ghost tour of old Wilmington. The choices are many, what will you do with them?

After all that, I’m thinking a nice quiet dinner at Kornerstone Bistro in Porter’s Neck. Then it’s off to bed for the rest I’m going to need for all the work I’ve got going on this week. The real estate market in Wilmington, like our weekends, is hopping -- so if you're thinking of buying or selling home in our area -- NOW is a great time!

I've actually bowled an entire game without hitting a pin. So I think I would skip that one. So.... I would get out my Hawaiian shirt, lei, hat, and camera and be a tourist. I've been to Wilmington, so I can testify. Wilmington, NC is a great place to be a tourist!!

I am bowling on my WI and having more fun!! :) A few of my friends come over and we have at it!! Nice to know there are great events where you are. We had blessing of the bikes this weekend and the town was packed. It's nice tos ee people a out and about. It's raining cats and dogs today.
