ALDI Grocery Chain is Hiring New Employees in Katy
ALDI a National Grocery Chain is conducting 25 hiring events all across the houston area including Katy starting now and lasting until March 27, 2013. ALDI is fairly well known in the Grocery Chain business as being a leader of offering employees significantly higher wages than the industry norm.
ALDI is essentially a discount grocer which offers consumers high quality exclusive brands at reasonable prices. The Chain is entering the Houston market by opening 30 brand new stores all over the Houston area during the next two years. This investment will create over 400 new jobs and add over 100 million in capital expenditures to the Houston economy.
The starting pay is $11.50 per hour plus generous benefits which include major medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, long term disability insurance, 401 K plan, company paid for uniforms and several other items. Right now during the Spring of 2013 ALDI is looking to hire 50managerial positions and additional 200 employees for cashier and shift positions.
Cashiers will be hired at the $11.50 per hour figure and Shift Managers will be hired at 15.75 per hour. If an employee works over 20 hours per week they are considered full time and are eligible for the various employee benefits which are provided.

Basic requirements for employment are:
1) A person has to be 18 years old or older to apply.
2) Have a High School diploma or GED.
3) Individual has to be available to work anywhere between 6 AM and 10 PM.
4) Retail experience is preferred but not required.
5) Management experience preferred for management trainees.
6) All applicants have to go through drug screening and background check to get actually hired.
7) Have the ability to lift 45 pounds.
The Katy Texas job fair will be held on Wednesday March 13, 2013 and on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 2009 S. Mason Road, Katy Texas from 7 AM until 6 PM. There are several other locations Houston Tomball parkway, Pearland, Humble Civic Center and Conroe. Check the web link above for dates and times.
This is good news for the entire Houston and Katy areas as ALDI is bringing a significant number of decent new jobs plus spending a large sum of capital to the local economy.
