The Silver Spring real estate has always been a good option for those who are looking for settlement in the Washington DC area. Over the last few years, the city has undergone changes that contributed to make it more desirable for prospective home buyers.

The sprouting of business establishments in many parts of the city has sparked the interest of job-seekers to consider the city for relocation. Since 2003, when Discovery Communications finished the erection of its national headquarters there, Silver Spring has become a major employment hub. Soon after, there were other companies and business entities that established their offices and branches in the city. This is a major revamp not only for the cityscape but also for the city’s economic path.

Arts is also a great factor that attracts guests and visitors to keep coming back to the city and reside in its various hotels, transient residences, and other temporary residences. The art galleries, historic sites, and landmarks serve as eye-candies to tourists and greatly enhance the tourism industry within Silver Spring.

When Silver Theatre was reopened as AFI Silver, the city’s art is put on higher regards. It became a hotspot for the showcase of independent films such that later on it became home to an annual documentary festival which is aptly called the Silverdocs.

Despite the modernization of the city, it has still areas that give the best of recreation while being close to nature. There is the Rock Creek Park which passes the west side of the city and offers hiking trails, bicycling paths, and picnic grounds. Other sites of recreation are Sligo Creek Park, Acorn Park, and the newly-renovated Jesup Blair Park.

Also found within the Silver Spring real estate is the Montgomery Blair High School and the Montgomery College. Various restaurants suffice the dynamic taste buds.

Some of the recent developments within Silver Spring are business-inclined. Over the past five years, the city witnessed the successive erection of business establishments and buildings that hosted different businesses entities. Today, the city serves home to Whole Foods Market, Regal Theatre, Office depot, Pier 1 Imports, Red Lobster, Panera Bread, and Pot Belly. There are more retail shops, boutiques, and restaurants that grace the cityscape.
