ActiveRain - 5  Tips Guaranteed to Jumpstart Your ActiveRain Blog

 

Blog! Blog! Blog!  If I had a dollar for every time somebody asked my what's the big deal about ActiveRain and blogging I'd be super rich! I joined ActiveRain back in Dec of 2006 and stayed exactly on square one (did nothing) until November of 2008.

 

A top internet marketer said to me- If you don't blog you may as well get out of the real estate business.  Really?  Blogging is that important?

 

YES.... now is the time for you to figure it out and jump into blogging!  Thankfully I took that advice and haven't looked back since - only forward. Because of all I've been given by so many ActiveRain members one thing I know for sure....it's good to give back over and over again.  ActiveRain has been such a huge relationship and business builder for me - and I am thankful. ActiveRain is by far the best platform on the planet for real estate professionals.

 

 

 

Attention ActiveRain Newbies  - Read these tips and leave a comment on this post!

 

1. Jump into the rain and get started. If you don't get started you can't get anywhere. Duh!  Fill out your profile completely.  Members & the general public do read profiles and they want to get to know you and how you conduct your business. Yes it's for real and you'll be surprised by how many people read your profile.
   
   
2. Join ActiveRain Newbies and BananaTude groups.  These two groups are very active and have a ton of people who are more than willing to give you advice and help you learn how to blog and create relationships as fast as you possible can.  Every day when you log into ActiveRain go to the 2 group pages I mentioned above - pick a couple of posts to read - and comment on each post.  Yes commenting is very important so don't skip that step. Again commenting on posts is very important so no lurking LOL - got it?  Good!
   
   
3. Write your first blog post or two! I know it's scary, been there down that got the t-shirt. All you need to do to get over that fear of writing is to read my first post and you'll see where I started. Yikes - as you can see I had no clue as to what I was doing. Big Deal. Almost 99.9% of all bloggers have no clue when they first start. So what!  You'll learn quickly and also have fun along your journey. Trust me on this!
   
   
4.  Ambassadors - who and what are they about? They are a group of seasoned ActiveRain members that go above and beyond the call of duty to help out fellow members.  Reach out to anyone of the Ambassadors by clicking on their profile whenever you have questions and email or call them. I'm guessing that will be just about every day for awhile and it's all ok.  We were in the same boat as you when we first started blogging on ActiveRain.  You can tell who is an Ambassador by the gold bade under their name and the gold star on each comment they make.  They stick out for a reason - cause they want to help you out!
   
   
5. ActiveRain University.  ARU is jammed packed with great webinars to get you going in the best possible direction.  Look at the top of the page and see the tab UNIVERSITY -  Click and sign up for your first class.  Even some of us oldies take the classes again to catch up on new stuff and refine what we're doing.  ARU is the best training around and it's all part of being a member of ActiveRain.  Go For It!
