We are experiencing a time of year in the Valley of the Sun that others are envious of - Spring time. This means that the days and nights are warming up from our cold weather and the sun is up and out longer. Now is the time (before we get to our 100 degree weather) to get out and do something fun.
Want a suggestion for Date Night? How about the theater - The Arizona Theater Company is starting their run of the Neil Simon comedy, "The Sunshine Boys". This Neil Simon classic that has been reigned as "a touching comedy by one of America's most acclaimed and cherished playwrights" (Variety) and has been produced in on-, off-, and off-off-broadway runs as well as been made into a movie by Woody Allen.
This show is running in Tucson from March 2nd through March 23rd, 2013 - then, moves to Phoenix from March 28th through April 14th, 2013. Directed by David Ira Goldstein, this story of Lewis and Clark - the Kings of Comedy together, but not able to tolerate one another, decide to go out with a BANG (quite possibly literally) in one last show. Can they keep it together for one more night - the comedy that ensues tells otherwise. This Neil Simon work of art tells the wonderful tale of getting old, just not so gracefully.
