Slowly but surely, the Levittown Shopping Center is being rebuilt, and yes, a WalMart Supercenter is being put there. In Levittown, PA construction has already started for the mega-mart, and the tentative date for the opening will be sometime in April 2009.

The WalMart in Fairless Hills, PA is going to be shut down and this will be it's replacement. Among WalMart, other nationally well known companies will share the grounds of the old Levittown PA Shopping Center. Home Depot, Wachovia Bank, and Taco Bell are currently operating. A few other names joining big "W" are Deb, Dressbarn, Ross, and Famous Footwear.

Although the WalMart in Fairless Hills, PA will be closed down permanently, the WalMart in Bristol, PA at the intersection of Rt 13 & RT 413, will remain operating.

Below is a photo of what the Levittown Shopping Center used to look like. It's too bad, because it was a nice place some time ago.

Dan, I also used to spend alot of time over there as well. I live only a few minutes away.

I do remember the Mellon and PSFS banks now that I think about it. Wow, that was some time ago.

Thanks for the info.  I do not live near there but it is happening everywhere.  There a two huge super duper complexes with homes and commercial buildings that will be going up around my neighborhood not even 10 miles from each other.

It would be nice if they put some good restaurants near there. NOT meaning chain restaurants! I mean something different. How many Olive Gardens, Pizza Huts, Taco Bells, TGIFridays do we really need. Levittown really lacks good quality restaurants. I doubt unique, independent restaurants will lease space there. Probably too expensive. Instead we will be subject to more of the generic BS food plaguing this area.
