Don't like the weather? Just give it a second.

Weather is a fast paced thing here. Yesterday the temperature reached the mid 60's. Yesterday afternoon we had a thunder storm and last night it dropped into the high 20's. We now have a dusting of snow on the ground. This weekend it is supposed to be back in the mid 60's. Somebody can't make up their mind whether they want Winter or Spring! I know I have my mind made up...Come on Spring!

Once winter loosens its grip we enter into a time just before Spring called, Yellow. Yes, Yellow. This is the 3-4 weeks that all the pine trees compete with one another to see who can put out the most yellow pollen. This is the time of year we use our snow shovels. I remember a weekend not so long ago where the weather was beautiful and I opened up the windows in the house. What a mistake that was! Everything in the house was coated with yellow pollen within hours.

The trees here are starting to bud so Yellow can't be too far behind. But at least once the yellow season is past we can look forward to a brief time of really great weather before it turns hot and sticky. If you don't like the weather, just give it a second. It is bound to change!

Peter- Yellow is funny to me. I call our summers here in Jacksonville Beach, FL simmer, because it has a tendency to feel as such...
