Since we've been in our brand new downtown Tucson office, I've had the chance to get to know some of our new neighboring local business owners. One shop is a place where you MUST visit to get ready for St. Patrick's Day in Tucson: Flanagan's Celtic Corner, located at 222 E Congress Street...just a door down from us!
Bit and Flano have an amazing passion for bringing Irish to Tucson in the form of authentic kilts, clothing, jewelry, food products, and geneology services. They are so much fun to talk with. The other day, I was chatting with Flano and found out that their shop was home to the first ever chocolatier in Arizona!
It might not seem like there is a lot of call for a St. Patty's celebration but there is! Enough that there is a major parade on the 17th as well as a huge festival at Armory Park in downtown! Here's the schedule for the day:
*The Festival will begin at 10am at Armory Park
*The parade downtown begins at 11am with the route going around the historic Presidio
More information can be found at the TUcson St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival website
Bit and Flano will be kicking of St. Patrick's Day a week early during our monthly 2nd Saturdays event this Saturday. They'll have their beautiful shop open with music from the Out of Kilters from 7 to 9pm right in front. They performed last month and there was quite a crowd! (Yes, we'll have our brand new office open as well - come on by!)
The parade and festival is celebrating their 26th year. Personally, I can't wait to see some of that amazing dancing!!
