Ask an Ambassador: What is "Report a Concern" All About?
It probably took me over a year to figure out what "Report a Concern" was all about. I believe another member had written a post about it during the time Active Rain was experiencing a tremendous amount of spam. The "Report a Concern" link was already in existence when we were getting a lot of spam, but I had no idea that the "Report a Concern" link was used to report spam to the AR staff.
If you haven't received an occasional spam in the comments section of your post, consider yourself lucky. But if you ever do, then don't bother deleting it. Instead, just click on the "Report a Concern" link in the comment section where the spam comment exist, and the spam will be reported to the staff.
But wait a minute, there is more. For all of us points mongers, you'll be interested in knowing that you get points for reporting a concern.
So the next time you see a comment in your post that resembles this: "my Aunt Sally made $499/hour selling widgets on the internet and you can too........" Just "Report a Concern" get your brownie points and move on.
By the way, your points will show up as "other points" just so you know.
