EISENHOWER PARK - A Jewel in the Heart of East Meadow, 1899 Hempstead Tpke. E. Meadow, NY 11554
Formerly known as the exclusive Salisbury Country Club, the park was absorbed by Nassau County and rededicated to our 34th president, Dwight D. Eisenhower, when it found itself in financial straits.
Even larger than Central Park, it is home to three, 18-hole golf courses. It also boasts tennis courts, baseball, soccer and football fields, the Aquatic Center, the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, and an upscale catering facility, Carltun on the Park.
With the arrival of warmer weather, families from all over Long Island will come to spend a relaxing day. The County Executive makes note of all the great events that took place at the park this past year.
