I have seen some real estate agents say they can always get back to you in 30 minutes. That is impressive I think when one can't pick up a phone or email, but how about UNDER half a day?
Don't Play Hide N Seek In Real Estate.
When on the job, work. If you have to deliver bad news to a client or an agent on the other side of the transaction, talk to them on the phone, NOT email. To immediately alert someone of something TEXT them. They will see it even if at lunch with a client or in a meeting.
JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE HIDING, doesn't mean I don't know you are there. I do hear some good excuses like the phone was in the purse, in another room, I only check email twice a day. There are reasonable times we can't pick up or look at an email. BUT, don't extend it beyond a half day in critical times working a deal.
Playing Hide N Seek requiring someone MULTIPLE times to track you down is not professional. It may be necessary but you sure don't want to work with that person again. Also get to the point in all communication and if the other party goes on too much, remind them you have to go.
Hide N Seek is fun as a children's game. But in real estate to get things done we have to CONNECT........
