Recently, I had to change out a lockbox on a condo in Tyson Corners, Virginia and it just so "happened" an agent was coming down the hallway to view my listing. Very attractive agent and her client (who I later found out was her best friend) was also very pretty. Now, I'm an extremely happy "married" young man of 30+ years and because my wife (Lisa) is gorgeous I can "recognize" and appreciate beauty. Ok, back to my story.
The agent went on to say my listing was very nice, it's a one bedroom (no pun intended...My humor) and it was vacant and really does show very nice. The realtor went on to say, her client really liked the property and she would get back with me on if the "friend" wanted to place an application. Now, as we were leaving, the realtor mentioned that her client is a dear/best friend and "likes" men of color! The realtor was a brunette and her bestfriend client was a "blonde!" Well, I was a bit surprised and appreciated her comment on how "handsome" I was, but the client said "he's married" and she noticed I had my wedding band on. The realtor said, she didn't notice and can you imagine a person of "color" blushing as I hightailed back to my car.
Anyhow, it was surely an "aha" moment for myself and just goes to show you have to be prepared for just about anything in this profession. I haven't heard back from the agent on my listing yet, so I think I'll give her a call. Hope her client found "everything" she was looking for!!!!! LOL!!! (Note, my wife encouraged me to write this blog!!!)
