Colorado Springs Market Statistics for February 2013!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Client's Choice

After a strong and steady increase in the Colorado Springs housing market at the end of 2012, January showed a slight drop.  February proved that the market is still on the rise and Realtors are confident that 2013 will be a great year for real estate!

According to housing statistics from PPAR, the number of home sales in February was up by over a total of 100 homes from January.  Although an increase from the previous month, this number is still lower than the February 2012 total of 3,224.

The total amount of pending listings took a rise of 214 homes in February of 2013 compared to the 1499 total in 2012.  The total sales year-to-date at the end of February has already exceeded last year’s February total by over 300.

The number of days on the market as well as medium price dropped.  With low inventory, lower prices and low interest rates, homes are not staying on the market long!

This signals a great market for sellers.  Some homes in given price ranges are only lasting for a matter of days.  Buyers still have an advantage as well, with lower prices and interest rates that are staying low.
