Title insurance at Family Abstract is my main thing, but making people laugh and doing standup comedy is catching up fast! Many of you have seen my Helium comedy Debut that I posted and I really appreciated all the kind words and encouragement. To that end, i'm thinking, why not run some of the new material past you, get your feeelings on it. Maybe leave me a commment that's written better, or you have something that's funny to add. This is a work in progress. My goal is to write and perform, ultimately in the Real Estate, Mortgage, Title, Staging and appraiser conventions all over the country. I'd like to start at an Active Rain Convention!

HERE'S THE NEW BIT!
Our marriage started when we became husband and wife, when we became one, the trouble started when we had to decide which one! During the first years of our marriage we were full of life and excitement! I spoke and she listened, she spoke and I listened, 26 years later, we both speak and the neighbors can listen! Someone asked me if I ever thought about divorce? No, never, murder yes, divorce never! The Judge reminds that the technical term for a divorced Jewish woman, ‘is the claimant.” The other day my wife said, “you'll be sorry, I'm going to leave you”, I said, "which one is it going to be, it can’t be both". I kid around, but there is really nothing I wouldn't do for my wife, there's nothing my wife wouldn't do for me and that's how we go through life, doing nothing for each other. A friend of mine was bragging my wife's an angel, I said you're lucky mine’s still alive! Love used to be holding hands in the street now we hold arguments in the street. Love was cuddling on the sofa, now it’s deciding which sofa. We have been together so long we are like 2 sides of a coin, we can’t face each other but we have to stay together.
Comedy writing is a work in progress, being on stage and seeing people laugh is a high better than any illegal drug available, The above paragraph is the culmination of pages of writing, boiled down to "set up and punchline". My comedy teachers came out of the Catskill Mountains, known as the Borscht Belt, because that's where all the great Jewish comedians practiced their art. I was influenced by Jackie Mason, Myron Cohen and the great Mal Z. Lawrence. I was fortunate enough to go with my Family to the Nevele Country Club every August, and my highlight was always the comedy shows. I got to watch and talk to these guys when they were just starting out, 25-30 years ago, I always wanted to do what they did.
