Bald is the New Green

Tomorrow, March 15th from 10:00am-9:00pm, the local Irish Pub “Fado”, will prove that BALD is the new GREEN! Join locals for the St. Baldrick’s Charity Head Shaving drive. Fado and St. Baldrick’s foundation will team up for this pre-St.Patrick’s day celebration that will go to benefit childhood cancer research.

 ST. BALDRICK'S

St. Baldrick’s is dedicated to raising money to fill the federal funding gap experienced in research of childhood cancer. All types of childhood cancers combined only receive 4% of US Federal funding for cancer research. St. Baldrick’s believes that we should give children the chance to grow up, marry, have children of their own, create something beautiful the world has never seen, or even discover a cure for cancer.

ST. BALDRICK'S

So come join in this family friendly fun day of head shaving (obviously optional! Ha), live music, fund-raising, a tasting event, glassware give-a-ways, and even a bottomless Stella after party for adults from 5-9.

 ST. BALDRICK'S

Mix up a good time and a good cause … sounds like the perfect concoction!

Erin:  Does this mean that your new spring do is bald?  You could save a lot of money when you do not need to have your hair cut or styled.

Erin,

Gotta love Rony's comment...how nice that people are willing to do that, so that children benefit.  Yes, every child should have the opportunity to grow. A

Hi Erin -- St Baldrick's is one of the greatest events --- it's certainly an eye-catcher that raises awareness and isn't that one of the most important messages.   Thanks for sharing.

Hi Erin, How well I remember participating for a St Baldrick's event a few years ago. Great cause to support the children with cancers. That's about the time I decided to go bald too.
