Bob...Great explanation. People, especailly those who have been city dwellers all their lives have no idea what and or how to manage their wooded properties.
Since I can't reblog, and I couldn't reblog your posts anyway, later today, I will do a post about this with a link to this post, Bob. Great explanation, and one I never knew about. (We have land "up north"!)
What a different world you live in Bob... It reminds my of my Dad's hunting lodge in Maine... especially the photo with the deer... So beautiful... I'm sure it's great advice for folks in you neck of the woods as for us... all trees are welcome because there are so very few of them in comparison...
Thank you all for stopping by, I hope that you are all having a great weekend. I hope to be able to stop by and visit you all and your forests someday.
Have a great day!

Great information Bob! There really is a lot of thought and planning that goes into owning a woodlot, and being responsible for its health.
Thanks for posting this.
