As a Realtor© how important do you think location is? We have seen great houses in some great places and some great houses in some not so great places. What is the difference? Is one really better than the other? Doesn’t it all just come down to preference?
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." Henry David Thoreau - American Author, Poet, and Naturalist –
Isn’t that what it is? Doesn’t it all come down to what the dream is? We find here with selling real estate in East Tennessee, that people move here to live the dream of owning land with acreage. They move here for the 4 seasons that we enjoy in Knoxville Tennessee, the beautiful landscape that we get to look at everyday, and the low cost of living that we enjoy. Knoxville real estate offers a great choice of locations: rural, urban, older neighborhoods and new construction, to name a few. Your dream is your choice here in East Tennessee. I understand that certain streets or neighborhoods hold their values consistently better than others, but if your dream is to own acreage in a rural setting and you can obtain that dream, then isn’t location relative? Some people want to live in downtown Knoxville and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. Some want to raise kids in a new house with a small yard to maintain, maybe in somewhere like West Knoxville. Some want to buy older homes and renovate them. North Knoxville real estate is a great place for that. Others want to live on a farm and look out at the mountains everyday. South Knoxville, Seymour, Sevierville and Maryville are beautiful places to buy real estate with mountain views. A condo is a dream of some, to live without the worry of maintaining a yard at all. We sell all types of real estate in East Tennessee and it is a pleasure to work in such a diverse environment. I know it has to be different in different parts of the country. I know some sights and sounds can deter a location. We have our fair share of those here too. What are your thoughts? What are your experiences? Is it location, location, location or does it depend more on the dream?
