5 Quick Tips for Sprucing Up Your Home for Spring

1. Start Up Front

Turn a front yard from "Blah" to "Ah" with a few key changes. Trim up bushes, plant new, colorful flowers, paint the garage door or lay new gravel in the driveway.

2. Extreme Cleaning

Steam clean carpets, tile and grout, power wash windows, and remove extra dust bunnies. By taking it one room at a time, the job will not seem so daunting.

3. Out with the Old, In with the New

Remove old, unused, unnecessary junk from the house. Have a garage sale or donate the items. This will allow the space for bringing in new more useful items.

4. DIY Projects

Browse the online website "Pinterest" for hundreds of creative ideas for potential projects. Feel a sense of accomplishment with your finished product.

5. Upcycling

Transform an old item into something new.By re-purposing vintage items, you not only save money, but you also create useful works of art.

We are finally moving into Spring - I hope - here in Charlottesville. I do love watching the landscape and yards transform as the warm weather brings everyone out and the flower plantings start. And what a difference to curb appeal just a few simple changes can make for getting buyers interested!
