Designer Tile Job Completed in Luxury Vacation Rental

The Foxy Interiors crew recently completed a designer tile job in a gated community of a luxury vacation rental located in Kissimmee, Florida.  If you’re unfamiliar with the area, the property location is a stones-throw away from Disney World, International Drive, and the many vacation hot spots Central Florida has to offer.

The men did an interior re-paint using Navaho White on the walls and Pure White for the trim.  They completed a custom designer tile job at this location as well.  To begin, all the existing carpet and vinyl tile had to be removed.  The concrete floor in front of the glass sliders had to be chipped out to level it by adding fresh concrete.  The tile installation used DalTile in 18” porcelain, 2” insets in the entire living room and dining room, as well as zoning the spaces using a border tile taking on the appearance of dark walnut wood.  The three bathrooms were tiled in a white and beige 18” tile.  Three different grout colors were used to complete the tile job.  Aside from the four types of tile, what made this job particularly exceptional was the number of tile cuts.  The men had to first lay out the tile to decide which pieces would go where.  A diamond pattern was used which required cutting each 18” tile in half to align with the walls.  Each 18” tile had to be cut four times to accommodate the insertion of the 2” insets. Many time consuming cuts but the end result is spectacular as the photos below demonstrate.
